The Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs provides Waltja with some funding for Emergency Relief. This is only $7000 for the total year and has been funded for the following communities - Willowra, Ikuntji, Nyirrpi, Amundurrngu Outstations, Atitjere and remote area outstations.

Funds are available to Indigenous people who live on remote communities and can be accessed from their community or whilst in Alice Springs.

Funds are only available for emergency situations and where no other assistance can be obtained. Items including accommodation, phone calls, food, clothing, and blankets.
Help for victims of family violence and transport may be arranged depending upon the individual client's circumstances. Please note this money is not for "sorry business" or to attend funeral services.
