Laramba elders Lesley Stafford, Huckitta Lynch, Launce Campbell along with community members including some with a disability, had the chance to visit nearby Lake Lewis.

Lake Lewis is a large salt lake located about 170 km north-west of Alice Springs. The lake is fed by Napperby Creek and other small creeks, and after big rain is relatively deep and long-lasting (up to six months). The lake system comprises vast areas of saltpans, claypans and associated saline lakes, and is bounded in the north by Stuart Bluff Range. So on the way home Lesley and others collected some bush medicine, a samphire plant.
