The Nintipula Mitiyaku program is about waltja visiting the communities and helping young people who are struggling and are no longer attending school by getting them to learn about media.

This includes showing the young people how to use the camera’s and video Camera’s.  The elders express the urgency about the need for long-term strategies to pass on cultural and knowledge, to maintain and revive language and culture. The elders want the young people to learn media skills so they can make videos about culture, including recording old people stories, and through this, reconnect with family, community and culture.

This program is funded from the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation.
