Santa Teresa Media is an online TV channel which was established by participants from the Santa Teresa Media Hub Community Development Program. This program was established with support from Catholic Care NT who provide facilities, equipment, training opportunities, and a full-time Media Hub Mentor – who commented:
“Catholic Care NT are dedicated to supporting young people in the Ltyentye Apurte community by providing dynamic training opportunities in exciting media processes. As the primary facilitator, it is my goal to provide training in any media activities including: film-making, hip hop and music video creation, graphic design, desktop publishing, beat-making, photography, animation, storytelling, or any other skill that our participants show interest in. Hayley and Lenny from the Waltja media team travelled out to Santa Teresa to meet up with Rohan. We brought out our video camera to show them basic operations like powering up, using the eye piece or LCD view, holding, recording, zooming in and out.
Our goal for this trip was to get the youth comfortable with using the DSLR cameras and video cameras, also speaking and being filmed for short films and documentaries. Thanks to everyone at the hub.
