When Tracy was a teenager she was chosen to represent Australia in the Paralympics 1992 in Barcelona. Tracy won 2 Gold Medals in swimming for the 50m Butterfly and the 4x50m Women’s Freestyle relay, as well as receiving an Order of Australia Medal in 1993 for her outstanding contribution to swimming.
Tracey has a go at everything – including horse riding, camping, abseiling, caving, canoeing, surfing and even scuba diving! Tracy is also a mother of two boys and takes pride knowing that she is raising very well adjusted children who have a great ability to accept anyone and everyone. ‘Every day I motivate them to be the best they can be as they see me getting on with life with a smile on my face and my can do attitude. So showing my kids I can go into the workforce and share my story with others is important’.
Tracy was unanimously chosen by Waltja’s Directors to be the 2016 Waltja Aged Care and Disability Festival Ambassador – something which she was tremendously proud of.’
