Waltja visited Ampilatawatja recently for the Cultural Program.
With a group of women we travelled north of Ampilatawatja then made a big loop coming back on an old road to a station, looking for green country.
We stopped to collect anemangkerr (bush tomatoes) and look for bush potato (anaty) but the country was pretty dry. There were some echidna tracks. We had some tyre problems but Leanne worked hard to get us all home safely. Thanks to Ampilatawatja community for welcoming Waltja.
Later in the week we went bush with a small family, grandmother and grandchildren spent time looking for bush good, recording songs and learning names of bush foods.
