Waltja provides training, health, nutrition, disability and advocacy, mental health support and youth services under Commonwealth, NT-funded and philanthropic programs.
All proceeds support our social programs
We operate an art retail outlet at our Alice Springs HQ and also sell art online. All artwork has been produced by our members and 100% of proceeds go back into our social programs.
The Art Store provides a way for people to earn money for themselves, and support Waltja at the same time.
When we can’t provide food or fuel vouchers, or financial assistance, we connect individuals with other services that can help. While we may not be able to assist everyone directly, we’re committed to finding support for those in need.
To continue this important work, we are building a community of donors online. Some choose to donate monthly, while others make one-time contributions. Your support can make a real difference in helping us provide essential resources to those who need it most.
We’d like to thank all of our contributors and funders for the impact they have had on the communities we work with.
If you’d like to spread awareness of Waltja’s many programs and services please get in touch with our friendly team for any media enquiries via our contact form.
We welcome partnerships with like-minded enterprises. If you're interested in exploring potential collaborations, please reach out.
Waltja supports itself through careful money management and investment over many years. We raise funds through the sale of artwork created by our members, with proceeds going to our artists and back into our social programs.
We team up with various organisations to help Aboriginal families in remote Central Australia. These partners include local groups, service providers or organisations that contribute to community life.
We are building a community of generous online donors. You can support us by purchasing art from our store, subscribing to monthly donations, or making a one-off donation. Every bit helps sustain our work and programs.
We've acquired assets such as land and buildings in Alice Springs to invest in community priorities. Our other funding sources include government tenders, grants from philanthropists, and crowdfunding. This all contributes to our goal of making a positive impact.
